I'm pretty sure I've forgotten things listed in my interests, i watch waaaaay too many tv shows and manage to get hooked way to easily.
I'm currently obsessed with SG-1, again came late to the game, but i think that's how i like it. I adore Jack and Sam's relationship. I love how it was so canon, but it wasn't really played out on-screen, but you knew it was there.
The beauty of their relationship, were the secret smiles, getting a kick out of Sam rolling her eyes at Jack, and him checking to see if his jokes made her laugh, them being able to communicate with their eyes, any moment of physical contact, which when they full on hugged (which was rare) was the first time i knew the real definition of SQUEE.
Jack and Sam made my heart hurt, soar and break, I can still watch an episode i've seen a hundred times and still bawl like a baby or laugh like a crazy woman!
I want Daniel to be my little brother and Teal'c to be my big brother. I want to be Sam's sister, and i still drool over Jack even though he's older than my own Dad. And of course i want Hammond of Texas to be my grandpa.
I get excited whenever Major Davis appears, and I find Walter Harriman incredibly funny.
I think, Brad Wright, Robert Cooper, Martin Wood, Peter Deluise, Joe Mallozzi and Paul Mullie are geniuses and I get way to much joy out of listening to their DVD commentaries.
I'll stop my stargate ramble, if your even still reading!
My first "fandom" i guess was Queer as Folk, I got sucked in a tortured by the brian and mikey show, which i knew would never get played out on screen no matter how much I wished it so. They made me fall in love with angst and i started searching out ways to give myself just a little bit to squee and i stumbled up the vast and sometimes scary worlds of FANDOMS! i was able to quench my thirst for B/M, started with fics and quickly branched out into graphics.
I have to say i was spoiled in my first foray into fandom and QAF was such a brilliant show and had such an intelligent audience it was really quite hard to find bad fanart, oh there is plenty but the good out weighed the bad.
The internet also was a great way for me to indulge in QAF as i was still in high school at the time and this was one show that was pretty out there at the time and it wasn't an easy show to discuss as most of my friends didn't watch it, so it was great to be able to come on and talk to like minded people and not worry about being judged as, Hey! its the internet and know one knows who you are!
Next came The X-Files. I came late to the party and caught the first movie while travelling and was instantly hooked on M/S chemistry. From there i had to know the back story, i started reading transcripts before caving and buying the whole series 1 season at a time as i could afford it. Nothing is more satisfying to me than ripping open a dvd box of a show you know you love. Shipping Mulder and Scully was a bit of a relief, as the relationship was so obviously canon, and the X-files fandom is HUGE! I still get the urge to go read a good x-files fic or pull out my well worn dvds. And then the movie came along, and while i didn't love, love it, it was satisfying and shippy. and DD and GA still had amazing chemistry and know how to make your heart break.
I think then it was The Office, love love love the British one, it's just so perfect. I also love the U.S version, i look at them as completely different shows, although i don't really get into discussions about that, as i don't think i can express my opinion properly and my friend don't really understand, true though, none of them have really given it a chance. I love The Office icons, but i didn't really read much fic, as the show is actually quite satisfying and shippy all on its own! i love me some Jim and Pam. And i adore Dwight, i have his bobble head! and the ensemble cast is to die for, they are each hilarious in their own right.
oh i forgot FRIENDS. this was after QAF, i had a crappy year first year out of school and this kept me in good spirits, i wore those dvds out. I do recognise friends as being quite lame, but i just love it, and it was so good in its day ( i do pretty much ignore all seasons after the end of the 7th) It's just a silly fun little show that when I'm in a shit i can put on and without a doubt be happy.
Other shows I'm hooked on include: Farscape (makes me cry too often but i keep going back for more), Bones (B and B are just awesome and Booth, I mean GUH), Corner Gas (pure genius), Doctor Who (10 and Rose again make my heart hurt), NewsRadio (it was gone too soon), SportsNight (again gone to soon and i still miss it), Buffy (I was a W/X shipper, I mean i love Tara and willow, but I was always rooting for my two little buddies).
Recently I've become addicted to Dexter, although the first season was the best, True blood is turning out to be awesome. I've always love NCIS, I mean Tony, and i always loved KAte. I wan't sure I'd make it through her death as i was a T/K shipper, but Ziva has won me over, although i don't really ship anyone at the moment although i think that things will happen with T/Z. I want to be Abby, and McGee is just too cute for words. And Gibbs... come on, he's Gibbs! I'm a secret Gibbs/Abbey shipper but don't think I actually want to see it played out.
Love SVU, but have gone of it recently, it's the show i always mean to watch but forget too along with the CSI and CSI:NY, which I just lost my interest. And i love me some Supernatural and Sammy and Dean. I could eat Dean up with a spoon!
I'm pretty sure no one still reading, but anyway.
In real life (not sure if I know what that is) I'm a 22 year old girl from Melbourne, Australia, I love to have a drink at the Pub and dance with my friends. I love to cook and always make myself hungry by watching cooking shows. I've played netball since i was 9. Did gymnastics until i was 15 and realised it wasn't going to get me anywhere. (competing in national competitions is great and all, but her in Australia it's not like you can get college scholarships, so unless your olympics bound there comes a time when school takes precedent) I took up diving but surprisingly my fear made me stop, getting older made me actually fear landing on my head!
I sucked at school, i was arty and sporty at a pretty academic school, so never really liked school. I did as many sport's as i could so i would have legit excuses to miss days of school to go to athletic days or swim meets!
I took a 6 months off first year out of school and didn't do much besides part time work and partying.
Studied Multimedia at Tafe and then went on to study graphic design which i finished last year.
I didn't want to grow up and get a real job yet so i went travelling!
I back packed through England, Germany and Spain, then did a contiki tour of America and saw EVERYTHING! oh and Canada's east.
I'm now supposed to be growing up and getting a job, but I'm putting it off as long as my parents will let me be a bum... which is not very long!
i have 2 sisters who i love, I'm in the middle, I'm practically best friends with the older one, and my younger one, well we are starting to get along a lot better now she's older.
I have two adorable cats, oreo and morris, morris is a big male cat, who is the literal definition of a "scaredy cat" and oreo is about 5 but is still tiny and snuggly.
No one in my real life knows the extent of my true dorkyness, but I'm starting to become less paranoid about it.
Well that's me and I'm sure your bored to tears!
